Drink some brews, sing karaoke and help breast cancer survivors
All this month, The Cold Brew is hosting special karaoke days to benefit breast cancer awareness The karaoke is free, but any donations will go toward the breast cancer awareness nonprofit Pink to Do. Staff at the Brew will also sell T-shirts and wristbands, with all proceeds also going to Pink to Do.
100% of the money raised by the Pink To Do organization is for breast cancer survivors in Laredo. We are volunteers and we use our personal resources for administrative expenses.

Holy crap, DC's new Joker is the stuff of nightmares
Batman fans perusing the latest No. 13 comic will be in for a treat (or fright?) with the Joker's new look.
If you want to see the new Joker, Buzzfeed leaked some pages from the comic, but I warn you: that face may haunt you in your sleep. Says the AP:
"It's a big step for the Joker, who has been out of the picture since DC Comics relaunched its line of comics in September 2011. Up until now, the only time readers saw the jade-haired, white-skinned criminal was in the first pages of "Detective Comics," where he calmly, efficiently carved off his face and escaped from Arkham Asylum.
Since then, he's been quietly plotting, planning and scheming, writer Scott Snyder explained of the story titled 'Death of a Family.'
'He is someone who has a mission this time,' Snyder said of the villain, long one of DC's most notorious, and arguably Batman's greatest foe. 'This is a story about how the Joker took a look at Gotham, Batman and the way things are working.'"
Batman No. 13 is out now.

A Led Zeppelin reunion?
Most likely, no.
During a Tuesday news conference promoting their 2007 reunion concert film "Celebration Day," the band "became uncomfortable with a question about 'anticipating something bigger for the band.'" According to the AP:
"We've been thinking about all sorts of things, and then we can't remember what we were thinking about," singer Robert Plant said testily. He then referred to this reporter by the pejorative term "schmuck."
Surely Jimmy has some more positive words.
"Seems pretty unlikely, doesn't it?" Page said.
And the Zep diehards can all go back to their lives now.
